Build a Brand or Create a Legacy?

There is a point in life when you are forced to reevaluate your way of living. You must decide the purpose of it all. “What am I doing this for? Who benefits from my actions?” You may find the answer (or allow it to be shown to you) and still question it. One thing I know for certain, we are placed on this Earth for a reason. Some people never fully understand the reason but that does not mean they haven’t fulfilled their purpose. When I was younger, I joked about having 10 children. When I had the opportunity to be front and center after the birth of my twin nephews, I changed my number to five. Reality started to set in but I still didn’t even know the half. I am a mother of four and I am satisfied with this number.

I gave birth to my first child at age 23. She was in my tummy saying “Goooo Mommy” at my college graduation. At least that’s how I envision it. She has been one of my biggest supporters in terms of emotional support in my adult years. Whenever I started (re-started) my fitness journey, she tagged along graciously. My next daughter appeared on a sonogram shortly after I had celebrated my 27th birthday. I remember taking a pic that birthday and commenting how flat my tummy was. My last daughter also had the experience of screaming “Goooo Mommy” from my tummy as I walked across the stage to receive my Masters degree. Then finally came my son. I’m sure most of his memories will be of his mommy being home all the time to care for him and his siblings since I decided to stay home full time when he was only a year old. I took the time to express what was going on with each child to provide some context to my life. The main point being…….shift happens.

My children and husband (you’ll get the scoop on him one of these days) have been very integral to my growth over this past decade. My desires and ambitions have changed. It’s much bigger than me now. So with that realization comes the fact that I am not alone. I have chosen to share some parts of my journey with you in hopes that you find the encouragement you need to continue to push through and find the abundance that is here for all of us to enjoy. Stay tuned for insight and tips on parenthood, relationships, career, spirituality, sexuality and embracing all parts of yourself even if you don’t fully understand. Life is a journey so we might as well share what we learn along the way.

And to answer the question from the heading……do both 😜.
